Daryl Cox

Island Pride Inc. is the design concept of Daryl Cox, he has been the signature designer of the Trinidad and Tobago Social Club and left the organization in 2007 to form IslandPRIDE in keeping with his vision for an all-inclusive Carnival deeply concentrated on our contribution to the northern American community and less on competition. Islandpride comprises a group of young, motivated individuals all focused on empowering the culture with the strength of the youth, it is their mission. Committed to ensuring to all that the rich Carnival history has a home and the means to be continued with respect, dignity and honor, Islandpride has successfully launched presentations in the Boston Carnival that have all been well received and contains very significant messages. To Islandpride, it is not about the competition that exists within Carnival, it is more about the customer. And so, as in all the past years, their focus has always been on superior customer service, an unparallel Boston Carnival experience and a stellar costume!

The newest and youngest band to date in the Boston Carnival listing of bands, Islandpride has indeed shown that they are poised and ready to in fact lead the way with the new trend in Carnivals around the World. They have launched their continuous road party experience where there are no sections, all masqueraders can enjoy all of the amenities offered by the band (and there are lots) and there are no restrictions – even when crossing the judging points. Masqueraders have embraced this new strategy to Boston with open arms and have always managed to fill Islandpride’s sections in record time.
